The Rotary Club of Nairobi has run the Kenya Rural Blindness Eradication Project since1985. The second eye camp (cataract surgeries) for year 2018 is soon to take place in April 2018. During January 2018, over 216 cataract surgeries took place in Kisumu. This was a three day eye camp. Patients were screened and transported from neighboring towns. They were  accommodated, fed and operated thereafter transported safely back to the​ir towns. The surgeries were performed at the Kisumu Oginga Odinga Referral hospital with patients from Kericho, Kapsabet, Kisii, Siaya, Ahero and Kisumu. The cataract surgeries were performed by Honorary Rotarian Ophthalmologist Dr Mukesh Joshi and team. Patients were accommodated at Jalaram School. The eye surgeries performed have led to the restoration of vision to many beneficiaries and this has in turn enabled them to earn a livelihood and leads to a direct positive impact on their immediate families and community, thus leading to economic...

Rotary Club of Asaba Government House held their weekly fellowship on the 6th of March 2018 at Orchid Hotel in Asaba City of Delta State. The mèeting was presided over by Rtn.(Amb) Christopher Daniels whom among other Ultimate Presidents has made tremendous impact and indeed making a difference in terms of club strength, membership, financial, project execution and most especially under his leadership has earned the club the Presidential Citation after so many years. New member New member Two new members where also inducted into the club, and where decorated by the immediate past President Rtn Eboka Olisamedua & Past President Rtn. Peter Okolie both Paul Harris fellows of the Rotary foundation. The President also welcome the DRR2018/2019 Rotaractor Innocent .....to his club and promised to support his office as a club and personally. He charged him to ensure that all rotaractors in the district are reported and have active my rotary accounts/numbers.

March 1, 2018 RC AWKA-SMITHTOWN HELD ANOTHER LECTURE In keeping with the ideals of Rotary procedure of fellowship and membership engagement, Rtn Tochi Amalu PHF yesterday continued in the Club's lecture series by delivering a resounding lecture on the topic "WHAT IS IN ROTARY FOR YOU? ". The high point of the event was the declaration for Rotary membership by four (4) Guests, two of whom are couple. With the ideals of Family of Rotary in mind, the monthly birthday celebration was held as well for the February born Rotarians and guests. Our AGD Sebastian Anaekwe later made a presentation on behalf of the DGE Dan Ajawara. Let's continue to Make a Difference; as the Inspiration for tomorrow begins today.
