Rotary Club Of Asaba Government House had an interactive session with Primary & Secondary students of Azagba Primary School & Isioma Onyeobi College both located in the capital territory, Asaba in Delta State. The humanitarian/non-profit organisation distributed primary and secondary school textbooks and gave the children both health & Career talks. It was also very emotional for some parents/people present as tears were seen in some eyes. The Rotary Club of Asaba Government House donated Primary and Secondary School text books, Dictionaries and other customised items to the pupils/students. The Club President, Rtn. (Amb). Christopher Daniels (Phf)  encouraged the students to be of good behaviour always and encouraged other organization/association to emulate same. Yesterday, at the Community Secondary school Abuloma the President of the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt South unveiled the new school signpost provided and erected by the Club and also present Charter certificate and induct club  officers of the interact club of the school. Rotary, the way to be!

Rotary club of Nairobi, Kenya.

The Rotary Club of Nairobi has run the Kenya Rural Blindness Eradication Project since1985. The second eye camp (cataract surgeries) for year 2018 is soon to take place in April 2018. During January 2018, over 216 cataract surgeries took place in Kisumu. This was a three day eye camp. Patients were screened and transported from neighboring towns. They were  accommodated, fed and operated thereafter transported safely back to the​ir towns. The surgeries were performed at the Kisumu Oginga Odinga Referral hospital with patients from Kericho, Kapsabet, Kisii, Siaya, Ahero and Kisumu. The cataract surgeries were performed by Honorary Rotarian Ophthalmologist Dr Mukesh Joshi and team. Patients were accommodated at Jalaram School. The eye surgeries performed have led to the restoration of vision to many beneficiaries and this has in turn enabled them to earn a livelihood and leads to a direct positive impact on their immediate families and community, thus leading to economic...
